HK was fortunate to participate in the Festival Mentoring Programme at Baboró Festival with mentors Phil Kingston and Maria Flemming. They spent a lovely week immersed in children’s theatre and panel discussions. Read more about it here.

Music and Healthcare Ireland
After 4 months of training, HK completed the Young Music Graduate Programme with Music and Healthcare Ireland with mentors Gráinne Hope and Liam Merriman. This was a wonderfully fulfilling experience of implementing the arts into a wide range of healthcare settings such as nursing homes and hospitals, and making the arts accessible for all.
Sparks of the Everyday: Poetry Ireland’s Anthology
HK has two poems in Poetry Ireland’s Anthology, Lú and Ag Lámh na Saoirse, as well as an essay entitled Moving House. The anthology is available for free for the first week on Kindle here.
Féile Raiftéirí Shortlist
HK’s poem ‘Mo Bhuíochas Libh’ was shortlisted for the Féile Raiftéirí Poetry Competition. The poem can be read here.
Development Day Lemon Soap
A week of development was done with Lemon Soap Productions on HK and Ultan Pringle’s original musical with a full cast. Listen to a demo from the workshop below.
Máire Mac an tSaoi Award
HK won the Máire Mac an tSaoi Award for their poetry. They participated in a workshop with Louis de Paor and a selection of their poems will be published by Meath County Council in the coming months.
Galway Film Fleadh
HK scored two short films that were screened at the Galway Film Fleadh this year, Baths and Try and Touch, both directed by Nell Hensey.
Poetry Ireland Introductions/ Céadlínte Éigse Éireann
HK was selected for Céadlínte Éigse Éireann/Poetry Ireland Introductions 2022. They participated in workshops with the acclaimed Aifric Mac Aodha, Ciara Ní É, and Annemarie Ní Churreáin .
